Dating from the 1950’s and originating in the beautiful Sicilian city of Palermo this stunning mid century Italian console is a most unusual example with a striking design element in the form of a curved silvered glass back that protrudes vertically from the rear of the top. A wonderful piece that is in superb original condition with a wonderful patina on the glass. Storage is facilitated with three large drawers and it has a large surface area to display lamps, art or home decor. Another interesting aspect about this table is that it bears two original stamps to the back, these stamps were give us more information about the piece and are in actual fact stamps to show a type of local tax or Vat had been paid on the piece in the city of Palermo around the 1950’s.  The design although in a classic mid century Italian style seems also to have a little oriental influence and overall is a most unique and beautiful piece that is ready to grace your home or work place.Please see our additional photos and video which I hope should give one a real sense for what a beautiful piece this truly is.
