A beautifully executed and highly unusual lacquered eggshell decorative box, handcrafted in Vietnam using the traditional and time-intensive technique of applying individually cut pieces of eggshell to create its richly textured surface. Each fragment is carefully placed by hand, resulting in a subtle shimmer and depth that shifts gently with the light—an artisanal finish that immediately sets it apart.

The design itself leans into a refined neoclassical language, with architectural façades wrapping around the form—columns, pediments, and windows rendered with a graphic precision that calls to mind the whimsical, illusionistic style of Fornasetti. There is a quiet theatricality to it; a sense of miniature architecture captured within an object that is both functional and decorative.
